Our gracious host (Ace the skydiver) took us to a party where his friend's band was playing. It was a rock and roll dance party and they weren't kidding when they said "rock and roll." The band mostly played covers of Elvis and other 1950s rock and roll bands. The crowd was mostly vietnam vets with their young girlfriends. it was hilarious! my favorite part is that it was all held in a boxing gym, so punching bags were hanging down from the ceiling along with the disco ball. they transformed the place into a 1950s prom. there was also a bet placed on whether or not i'd dance with one of the vets who was......a lively dancer.
